Owner & Operator, The Red Hen

With over 10 years in restaurant management, David has realized his dream to become a restaurateur. After managing Nation Bar & Grill, a privately owned bar & restaurant in midtown Manhattan for 6 years, David and his wife Gayle moved to John's Creek in 2005. David became a manager at Joe's Crab Shack where he gained a wealth of experience within a nationally owned chain. After a year & a half, David saw an opportunity to manage a local Atlanta favorite, The Flying Biscuit Cafe. As the General Manager, David was able to use his warm personality and attention to detail to generate more revenue for the company. It was here that David connected with his current partner and chef, Jason Meinhardt.

Taking the breakfast concept to a new level, the pair opened a homey, casual, eclectic breakfast & lunch cafe, The Red Hen. They take pride in their freshly prepared cooking, creating new twists on old favorites, friendly service, and warm atmosphere.
